Nester Magazine
How to Make a Home in Portland

Publishes 9/18/25
Space & Materials Due 8/28/25

Our definitive guide for how to live in Portland.

We’re profiling design forward Portlanders in their homes with photo essays and profiles that detail their inspiration, point of view and favorite spaces. We’ll also be offering hyper-local resources for renters and homeowners: color theory, home good stores based on your style, unpacking the soft demo trend, and more!

This is a cult favorite annual magazine for design lovers in Portland. 22,000 copies are distributed throughout home goods stores in September. We will also be celebrating the magazine launch with a large design event NestFest where readers can come to pick up their publication, and get inspiration from local makers and vendors.

NestFest

Event - 9/20/25

City Wide Activation - 9/21/25 - 9/27/25

Our team has been hosting invite only events for 130+ people for the past two years in the Central Eastside to celebrate the release of Nester Magazine. We’ve gathered people featured, held workshops from Wildcraft and Rebuilding Center, and featured products from local makers at each event. We’ve built a community and network around this publication who are excited for more!

This year, we’re launching NestFest - a new, bigger event - open to the public,  bringing together Portland’s creative community to celebrate home design in the urban core.

A one day event open to the public that features select exhibitors, a fully designed and shoppable “LivingRoom”, a marketplace of home goods vendors, workshops, educational activations, food, drink and community building for folks in the home design community.

The event will also function as a magazine release party, inviting Portlanders to come pick up their free copy ofnNester and meet the people featured in the publication.
